Highland Marching Band Sporran
This highly decorative version of the
Scottish Sporran was developed for Marching Highland Pipe and
Drum Corps. Instead of a pouch, this type of sporran is a flat
and ridged heavy leather plate with dark horse hair on the face
that is overhung with light horse hair tassels. This allows the
sporran to lay flat and to be large without the weight and thickness
of a pouch-type sporran.
