Japanese Kabuto

The samurai warriors of Japan wore helms, as did many warriors of the Middle Ages, but their helms were wrought to resemble fearsome faces and conjure images of the oni in order to frighten their foes.

Our kabuto have separate mon or face masks, allowing the helms to be worn with or without them. All these helms are fully wearable and hand-forged of high-carbon steel.

Dragon Kabuto & Menpo The helm from our amazing Dragon Armor set is now available separately.	Takeda Shingen Kabuto & Menpo This kabuto & menpo set replicates one attributed to Takeda Shingen, a powerful daimyo of the Sengoku (or "warring states") period in Japanese history.
Date Masamune Kabuto & Menpo This kabuto and mon set are copied from those of Date Masamune, the 16th-century daimyo reknowned for his tactical brilliance and his single eye.	Oda Nobunaga Kabuto & Menpo A kabuto replicated from that of Oda Nobunaga, the 16th-century warlord who very nearly united Japan.
Daisho Kake Kabuto & Menpo Based on a museum piece of unknown origin and doubles as a daisho stand!
