A Little History

Silvermane was born as a one-man operation, run out of our owner's home. After years of steady growth, the business was established in our first storefront in 2003, where we continued to grow until it became necessary to move again! In April of 2004, we moved into our new home, where we continue to strive to provide top-notch products and first-class customer service.

A Travelling Affair(e)
In our early days - before our storefront first opened - we realized that in order to gain new customers, spread our name, and just sell some great stuff, we'd need a venue. Luckily, the renaissance-faire culture was starting to experience its first major growth spurts and we've been able to come along for the ride! What began with us attending a few small, local events a couple of times a year has evolved into a full-time, nearly year-round operation ranging as far as 1,600 miles from our headquarters! (Not bad for a bunch selling swords and armor in the modern era!)

Stuck In the Past (and proud of it!)

Here at Silvermane, we're perhaps a little obsessed with history! We've made it our commitment to carry a line of historically-accurate products which the warriors of the past would have been proud to own; to offer those products to you, the historically-interested customer, at reasonable prices; and to be as knowledgeable as possible about those products, both in terms of their physical and performance characteristics and their place in the scope of history.
