The Sword of St. Michael The Sword of St. Michael Ref: MR-500838
In the Florence Museum, there is a painting by Palliaolo of St. Michael slaying the dragon. St. Michael is using a falchion of a style that was quite popular in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. However, this sword has a slight variation which we felt made it even more interesting - it appears to be double-edged! Although not unknown, this was quite unusual for a falchion blade. The blade is very strong and sturdy, able to cut with great authority, but is also light and fast. The double edge also lessened the weight and made possible a back-handed drawcut that could be quite effective. Blade is high-carbon steel. This is a very attractive sword with a touch of exotica about it and also a quite effective weapon, should you be a knight or man-at-arms. Scabbard included.

Overall - 33 1/2"

Blade - 27" long, 1 3/4" wide, 3/16" thick

Weight - 2 lbs., 8 oz.

This sword has been discontinued by its manufacturer. As of March 11th, 2008, we have only one remaining. Don't miss your chance to own this beautiful, unique sword!
