Battle-Ready Helms
All helmets
are at least 14 ga. The barwork is all 1/4" dia., with all
openings less than 1". Butt-welds on helms are welded on
the outside, then on the inside, and a reinforcing strip is the
welded in place, giving a total of 4 welds at each butt-weld joint.
Simple spuntop helms are spun from 13 ga. in stainless or from
12 ga. in mild steel, with 14 ga. skirts. All mild steel helms
have cold rolled skirts. This
